One for the Little Ones

Image
Hi All, Short and sweet this week. We are being sponsored by Mel Jen's Designs over at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog. Heather, Greg and myself held a craft session and came up with almost similar cards :-) As you can see, I've used an easel design for my card with the lovely pinks and contrast with black. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully received and appreciated. Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami

Button Up

Image
Hi All, This week over at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog it is the 'Button Up' Challenge. We were to use an image provided by Aspire To Thrive Children's Charities Inc. shop formerly known as Incy Wincy. I have chosen the dog which can be purchased through our online charity shop which is: www.aspiretothrive.com.au/shop . The image I chose to work with for this challenge is the Dog. I started with a fawn coloured cardstock and added a forest green layer paper as the first background layer. I was a little stumped as to what to do next and came across some textured brown and light green papers. I cut the brown to quarter the size it was and found it to be perfect for the bottom half of the card and added the lighter green layer on the top half. I went around the edge of the forest green layer with my green metallic pen. I coloured in the outer edge with white colour pencil for a lighter effect. As the heading suggests, we were to also use buttons for this challenge and I decided ...

Blast From The Past

Hi all, For this week's challenge we've been given images to reflect the past good times. Incy Wincy is being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs this week. I used my colour pencils to colour in the image and used my sharpie just for slight touch up.I think the image is adorable and I've pretty much made a simple card yet effective. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully received and appreicated.Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami

Congratulations

Hi all, For this week we were provided with an image from Phindy's Place I began with white cardstock and added a piece of textured soft baby green paper and then added a smooth layer of lavender. I outline the borders with my metallic pens and placed the image of mother and baby in the centre and propped it up with double sided foam tape to give lift effect. I used the sentiment 'congratulations' as I think this card can be used for a newborn baby's arrival. I finalised with bling . Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully appreciated and received. Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami

May 3 Challenge Anything Goes

Image
Hi All, We were kindly given images by Squigglefly for this week's challenge. I'm showcasing 'Jonquils' which look very nice and perfect for any occasion. You can visit Squigglefly at: http://www.squigglefly.com/ I began with white cardstock and added a teal shade of backing to it as the first layer. I had some assistance from Heather in colours for the Jonquils and is very much appreciated and very effective. I found the texture piece to use as the earth from Heather's pile of stock. I outlined the layer with metallic blue pen and black on the outer edge of the card to help the flowers stand out a little. I finalised with bling on each corner. I didn't use any sentiment as it can be a card for any occassion. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is appreciated and gratefully received. Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami
