June 21 - Music

Image
Hi All, I have been missing for the past couple of weeks. I am back and hope to keep on track now. For this week's challenge over at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog we have 'Music' theme. We were to also use image from Aspire To Thrive Children's Charities Inc., charity shop and I have chosen the ukulele and it was pre-coloured for me and is also available un-coloured and is available at: www.aspiretothrive.com.au/shop/ . I began with a beige coloured cardstock, which then added a piece of red cardstock just below mid-centre which I outlined with pink metallic pen. I then added another beige tinge softer paper stock I had on hand and coloured that in with my metallic gold pencil. I taped it down with double sided tape across to give a stand out effect. I also outlined this paper stock with my gold metallic pen. I then added foam buttons to the ukulele to give 3d effect and cut out some musical symbols to surround the ukulele. I drew a line of blue metallic pen on the outski

Button Up

Image
Hi All, This week over at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog it is the 'Button Up' Challenge. We were to use an image provided by Aspire To Thrive Children's Charities Inc. shop formerly known as Incy Wincy. I have chosen the dog which can be purchased through our online charity shop which is: www.aspiretothrive.com.au/shop . The image I chose to work with for this challenge is the Dog. I started with a fawn coloured cardstock and added a forest green layer paper as the first background layer. I was a little stumped as to what to do next and came across some textured brown and light green papers. I cut the brown to quarter the size it was and found it to be perfect for the bottom half of the card and added the lighter green layer on the top half. I went around the edge of the forest green layer with my green metallic pen. I coloured in the outer edge with white colour pencil for a lighter effect. As the heading suggests, we were to also use buttons for this challenge and I decided

Hi all, For this week we were provided with an image from Phindy's Place I began with white cardstock and added a piece of textured soft baby green paper and then added a smooth layer of lavender. I outline the borders with my metallic pens and placed the image of mother and baby in the centre and propped it up with double sided foam tape to give lift effect. I used the sentiment 'congratulations' as I think this card can be used for a newborn baby's arrival. I finalised with bling . Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully appreciated and received. Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami

May 3 Challenge Anything Goes

Image
Hi All, We were kindly given images by Squigglefly for this week's challenge. I'm showcasing 'Jonquils' which look very nice and perfect for any occasion. You can visit Squigglefly at: http://www.squigglefly.com/ I began with white cardstock and added a teal shade of backing to it as the first layer. I had some assistance from Heather in colours for the Jonquils and is very much appreciated and very effective. I found the texture piece to use as the earth from Heather's pile of stock. I outlined the layer with metallic blue pen and black on the outer edge of the card to help the flowers stand out a little. I finalised with bling on each corner. I didn't use any sentiment as it can be a card for any occassion. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is appreciated and gratefully received. Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami

Image
Hi All, For this week over at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog we were given gorgeous images and our design teamn got a specific image from the set so that we can showcase them. I was given the above image which is simply adorable. It was given to us by Stitchy Bear Stamps who is at: http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ . I used my colour pencils to colour her in and some sharpie colours for some intricate details. I used a cream coloured cardstock and found the purple floral layer and added that as the first base. I then used a yellow tinge paper stock on top of the purple layer and then mounted the image with double sided foam tape to bring her up a bit. I used a stencil for the star set and used my sharpie's to outline them. I used bling in the little stars to make them shine. I used brads in the corners some simple floral effect. Being a fairy I used 'Wishes' as the sentiment. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully received and appreciated. Thank you for visit

Debutante - Fancy Fold

Image
Hi All, For this week's challenge at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog is a fancy fold card. I have been so interested in easel cards once I saw them. I decided to use this image that was kindly given to us by Cowgirl Up Stamps, at Stitchy Bear Stamps. http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ I began with a yellow tinge cardstock and followed the instructions on how to make an easel card and came to realise they are not that difficult to make. I utilised a program I have been given by Greg on my laptop to colour in the image. The colour of the dress I found to be awesome and so gorgeous. I layered the top of the card with a red paperstock I had on hand and then some textured paper with heart print all over. I then used my pink metallic pen, which I must admit are my favourite colouring mediums, and outlined the thicker hearts to give some effect. I used my gold metallic pen to outline the layers and the outer layer of the card. I had a little trouble with the sentiment but with some help from my

Naptime Bunny

Image
Hi All, This week we were given this gorgeous bunny for our challenge over at http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/ . We are sponsored by Stitchy @ Stitchy Stamps this week www.stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ . I began with white card stock, then found glitter self adhesive paper in purple colour and added that as my first layer. I then added a piece of textured paper to break the glitter up a bit. I then added a lavender colour sheet of paper ontop of the textured layer. Naptime Bunny I used Fireworks to colour in and added it to the lavender colour paper. I made extra copies of Naptime Bunny and decided to 3D the ears and arms and also the legs of the crib to give some effect. I added the sentiment with the help of Greg as I wanted something different than the standard sentiments available. It reads "All I want is a love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!". I thought it perfect for this card. I added a couple of eggs in the bottom left corner to give th

Love Wedding Card

Image
Hi All, This card I have made for a friend's wedding. I was a little stumped in the beginning. But the card seemed to have made itself. Greg bought me the image from Squigglefly and it's a gorgeous image. I was a little unsure on the flowers on how they would turn out. I used a dark pink shade cardstock and found some backing coloured paper on my list of items on my pc which I printed and used that as my first layer. I coloured the image in with my pencils and the flowers with paint brush pens. I outlined the border with my pink metallic pen and outlined the card with my silver metallic pen. I had some sentiments that were silver and blinged already, as I love bling. I finalised with some sparkle in each corner with soft pink bling. I also added the bride and grooms name within the hearts as a soft personal touch. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully appreciated and received. Thank you for visiting my blog. Sally - Snuggles

Image
Hi all, For this week we have been given the above image to use. Her name is Sally. I coloured her in with my pencil's and outlined her with texta's. I used white card stock then added a couple of layers of stock, first being red and second being creamy yellow shade. I outlined the borders with metallic pens. The first was a pink and the outer a gold. I used brad's in the corners to finalise and some bling in the lady bug stick I had lying around. I had some stick on's for baby and decided to use the word snuggles for the sentiment. I absolutely love this image and was easy to work with. We are graciously being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and her link to her store is: www.stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ . Do drop in and have nosy. Please feel free to comment as all feedback is gratefully received and appreciated. Thank you for visiting my blog. Tami
